Sainsbury's amended plans for Saffron Walden
Sainsbury’s has responded to community feedback and put forward exciting new plans, which feature:
- NEW A smaller store
- NEW A petrol station
- NEW An online ordering service
- NEW Smaller delivery vehicles
- RETAINED A large new car park
- RETAINED A more frequent No.34 bus to serve the store and improve the service to the town centre
- RETAINED Enhanced junctions and site access
- RETAINED Improved pedestrian and cycle links to town
- RETAINED Regeneration and landscaping of a derelict site
In addition, Sainsbury’s is working with the council to provide an hour's FREE PARKING in Swan Meadow car park for up to two years.
